getting thereAs we got into the Kruger Park, it was boiling hot. The first animals we saw was Crocodiles and not long after that we witnessed lions crossing the road. I was hoping that they wont go into the bush, as this was the first time I ever witnessed a lion in the wild. The best part of it all is that the lions came to lie right in front of me about 3 meters away, shame you could see they were also getting hot. Then we came across elephants. We had to reverse, because one suddenly came out of the bush in front of us and was standing in the middle of the road.
accommodationWe stayed at Talamati Bushveld camp in the Kruger Park; on our way we decided to take a detour through to our camp as this will let us get to see the rest of the park on our way to the camp. Everything was green and the grass was very long, so you struggled to see animals. This was due to lots of rain which the Kruger gets during the summer months January, February, they say the best time to go is August, November. At night you could here the hyenas which was awesome, it gave me goose bumps, I wished I could have heard lions as well, maybe next time, they say it gives you a chill down your spine. We saw all of the big 5, but some was far away...
